Mode of Action

Can be extracted from the Derris plants.

The Rotenone will inhibit the respiratory chain of mitochondrion, which will cause the disorder of respiratory system in the insect’s body, and the insect will die for paralysis.

Long residual life of 10 days.

High selective and quick acting.

Crops

Tea leaf, mulberry, vegetable, fruit tree, tobacco etc.

Control

 1. Lepidopter insects and some beetles. 

2. It has contact and stomach action to cabbage caterpillar, cabbage moth, aphid.

e.g.

Rotenone 2.5%EC, control of aphid on cruciferous vegetables: 37.5~56.25g/ha.

5.  First Aid Measures

General advice: Consult a physician.

If inhaled. If breathed in, move person into fresh air.

If not breathing, give artificial respiration

In case of skin contact, wash off with soap and plenty of water

In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 min.

If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting.

Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Rinse mouth with water.
